I believe in birth. I believe we are wise, magic, powerful, and birthing in that truth is transformative.

We are taught to fear birth. We are groomed for compliance. We aren't trusted and we aren't taught to trust ourselves. And we can reject all of that and find what works for us. I know this, because I did it.

I am here to walk with you as you navigate this period of your life. I can't wait to meet you!

Hello, I'm Lucy, or 'Lucy Rose Doula'. I'm mother to two tiny humans, wife to one not so tiny human, and massive birth geek and boobin' advocate.

My passion for all things birth began after I started researching and preparing for my second birth following a traumatic first one, and I discovered just how incredible and transformative birth can be.

I trained as an independent hypnobirthing practitioner with Dani Diosi of MamaSerene in March 2021 and in October 2021 I completed training with Continuum Doulas and am beyond thrilled to be able to walk alongside women and birthing humans as they cross the threshold to parenthood.

When I'm not talking or reading about birth, boobin' and postpartum, I'm drinking cacao (pregnancy ruined caffeine for me...it's a struggle!), hanging out in the New Forest, writing poetry, spending as much time with the glorious women in my life as possible, and, of course, being a mother.

I hope you find this little corner of the internet helpful and I would so love to support you on your path. Choosing someone to work with at this incredibly special and sacred time is a big deal, so if you'd like to have a chat to make sure I'm the right fit, I'd really love to hear from you!

With love,

Lucy x
